Main Street Homer is hosting the 1st annual Great Louisiana Harmonic Festival on November 2, 2014 from 12 noon to 5 pm in downtown Homer. The festival will occur on the grounds and streets around the Courthouse, the Homer City Hall and the Ford Museum.
This festival is geared for harmonica and blues fans and players. Our headliner is Homer native and Grammy nominated harmonica player Bobby Rush. On the three stages many well-known music harpists and local talent will perform. A harp builder, a special children’s program and a master harmonica class will be taught by Bobby Rush himself.
The Great Louisiana Harmonica Festival will be a family oriented, well-publicized event, marketed to all of North Louisiana and South Arkansas on television, radio, newspapers and social media. This will be a great event to entice visitors from out-of-town to have a fun Homer experience so that they might return and purchase from our stores, utilize our services, visit our museum, boat on our lake and live in our community. Expected attendance is 500!
The Festival will be free of charge to the public, therefore we are seeking sponsors. Sponsorships range from Title Sponsor to Friends of the Festival. They are listed below. You may also purchase sponsorships through the PayPal "Buy Now" buttons. Funds raised will help Main Street Homer fulfill our mission to encourage downtown revitalization and economic development within the context of historic preservation. We want you to join us in helping restore community pride and economic viability so our families can have pride in their hometown.
